Invoices must be signed digitally.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>Autonomous regions:<\/strong> although FACe is mandatory for the central government, regional administrations have autonomy. Most regions use FACe, except the <strong>Basque Country<\/strong>, which has implemented its own system called <strong>Ticket BAI<\/strong>. This system differs in terms of implementation timeline and requirements by province within the Basque Country.    <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cc430bc elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"cc430bc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">B2B e-invoicing in Spain<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-814c5e5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"814c5e5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Not yet mandatory:<\/strong> Currently, B2B e-invoicing is optional in Spain, but companies are already allowed to use the central platform <strong>FACeB2B<\/strong>. This platform was introduced in 2018 for subcontractors of public suppliers, and uses the <strong>FacturaE format<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Expected mandate in 2026<\/strong>: The &#8220;Crea y Crece&#8221; law of 2022 introduces a phase-in of mandatory B2B e-invoicing, with large companies required to comply first. This mandate is currently delayed and is not expected to take effect until 2026. Companies can continue to send invoices via paper invoices, PDFs with e-signatures, or EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) until the introduction of the mandate.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, companies with revenues over \u20ac8 million must comply with e-invoicing requirements.<\/li>\n<li>A year later, all other businesses and independents will follow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2f0e60d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2f0e60d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">E-reporting and Veri*Factu (anti-fraud legislation)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a5daeb4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a5daeb4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>E-reporting<\/strong>: In addition to the e-invoicing requirement, an e-reporting mandate will also be introduced. Invoice data must be sent to the Spanish tax authorities through certified platforms. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Veri*Factu legislation<\/strong>: This law, designed to combat VAT fraud, <strong>requires companies to use certified invoicing software that sends invoices to the tax authorities in real time<\/strong>. The requirements of this law were to take effect July 1, 2025, but is being delayed to 2026 due to delays by the Spanish government. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-df05f05 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"df05f05\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Regional differences<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f40d83e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f40d83e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Basque Country<\/strong>: The Basque Country region uses the <strong>Ticket BAI system<\/strong> for both B2G and B2B invoicing. This system requires invoices to have a unique XML file name and be digitally signed. Each province within the Basque Country (\u00c1lava, Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia) has different implementation timelines for this requirement.  <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fcaa43e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fcaa43e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">As a Belgian company, how do I send an invoice to Spain?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-372ac17 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"372ac17\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>If you are a Belgian company doing business with a Spanish company, you must <a href=\"https:\/\/nymus.be\/en\/e-invoicing-in-belgium\/\">invoice according to Belgian rules<\/a><\/strong>. In Belgium, the Peppol network is the standard.   <\/p>\n<p>To send e-invoices, you must <strong>register through a certified Peppol Access Point such as Nymus<\/strong>. Both sole proprietors, and multinationals can use the Peppol network. The choice of a Peppol Access Point is not trivial and depends heavily on your business needs.
