About Nymus
Nymus is building smart, reliable solutions for e-invoicing, Peppol and automated invoicing processes. From our office in Sint-Martens-Latem, we empower finance teams throughout the Benelux and far beyond. We are a certified Peppol Access Point and billing service provider, combining scalable technology with an approach that is remarkably personal.
Nymus is a small but ambitious team of developers, product minded profiles, support colleagues and finance experts. We like short lines, honest communication and making things really work. No big anonymous structures here, but direct impact, responsibility and lots of room to build.
About the role
We are looking for a Development & Ops Team Lead who brings technology, team and operations together.
Someone who likes to build, lead, decide ánd think about the future of our platforms.
You will be the technical and operational point of contact for our Nymus solution stack.
Specifically, you will:
- Directs the design, implementation and maintenance of our operational systems
- Coaches, motivates and grows a team of 6 (developers + support)
- Develop strategic plans for our tech stack and roadmap
- Work closely with product owner, sales, external tech consultant and CEO
- Actively participate in building backend applications and API integrations
- Ensures tight and efficient processes through monitoring, reporting and clear KPIs
- Manages tech budgets (people - training - tools - roadmap - ops)
- leads daily meetings, project syncs and evaluation moments
- Run a support desk that really helps customers move forward
Our tech stack includes
- Functional programming style
- Rest APIs and microservices (JSON/XML)
- Event-driven architecture
- Java (Scala), AKKA
- Google Cloud, Elasticsearch
- Git, Jira, CI/CD
You are the ideal candidate if you:
- Have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science/engineering
- Have experience in an OO language (Java, preferably also Scala)
- Are strong in functional programming
- communicates fluently in EN and NL
- Have incorporated leadership or are ready to pull a team
- Analytical thinking and likes to solve problems
- Have experience within a SaaS or PaaS environment
- Be stress resistant and embrace responsibilities
- Be in possession of driving license B
